Hey there! I'm Bay :) an award-winning creative, multidisciplinary artist, and sustainability and impact consultant with Afro-Puerto Rican roots and a Brooklyn base.
For close to two decades, I've been lifting up the " brilliant unders" — the underestimated, the underfunded, the overlooked — and helping them break through whatever's in their way. I've worn a lot of hats to do it. Advertising, film, television, media, venture capital, tech — I've worked across all of it, which is why I call myself the self-proclaimed Queen of Pivots.
I spent over eight years at R/GA, a world-renowned global advertising agency, with my last role being their inaugural Executive Global Director of Sustainability and Impact. In that role, I created Make/Good, a flagship pro bono program that has supported 25+ underrepresented businesses and nonprofits and helped secure $2.5M in funding and award-winning design services. More recently, I co-led the creation of PAM (Pitch AI Mentor), Founderland's AI-powered pitch mentor for women of color founders; launched RISE, Interpublic Group's first global inclusion framework; and partnered with Black Women for Black Lives on an NFT for #blackinukraine that helped over 5,000 people of African descent stranded in Ukraine.
At my core, I'm a creative. My artistic practice moves fluidly between painting, pattern-making, design, writing, and emerging technologies, exploring intuition, cultural memory, and collective healing. Whether I'm consulting, creating, or advising, everything I do is rooted in storytelling, spirituality, and a deep commitment to collective progress.
I've traveled to over 40 countries and lived in five, with deep ties to Brazil that have shaped my connection to African Traditional Religions. I've been a devoted Lucumí practitioner for over a decade, bringing lived experience, cultural reverence, and spiritual grounding to my work and community.
I also serve as a business advisor to purpose and tech-centered entrepreneurs and a mentor to those seeking to live more fully in their purpose. I hold a BA in International Media Studies and Sociology from Penn State University. I've been recognized by ADCOLOR, named a Rising Star of Madison Avenue by Business Insider, and honored as one of the 100 Most Influential People of African Descent under 40 by MIPAD.
When I'm not working, you can find me in my art studio, flying my drone, or blowing bubbles at a live music concert somewhere in the world.
